This is another of the several short segments which were
missed, ususally because the satellites moved during the day to
positions which would not allow data collection to be continued.
This was true in this case, so I returned today to finish it off.
When I planned this the first time, I was unsure of the satellites, but the tide was good. When I returned on the final day of data collection, the satellites were good, but the tide was not. So, after a little deep wading, I could continue collecting where I had left off before. Wading while operating the GPS is one thing, wading along a bulkheaded shoreline is quite another. Seems that the little waves bounce and splash off of the bulkhead. Got it done though. Off to the next segment before the satellites move too much. |
