The WSU Extension Livestock Advisor Program
is accepting applications for the 2005
training. Classes begin January 19th
and run thru March 30th (Wednesdays 9-4)
alternating between Snohomish and Skagit
County. Training is provided by WSU Faculty,
Veterinarians, and local experts. Topics
include raising, breeding and housing
sheep, goats, poultry, beef, horses,
rabbits, swine; mud, manure, weed, pasture,
and predator management using best management
practices. Trainees receive 80 hours
of training and are asked to give back
80 hours of volunteer time. The cost
for this years class is $75.
