Garden Tips

•

nursery
The nursery, an area about 30’ x 60’, is used to hold plants intended for use in the gardens and for Master Gardener plant sales. It also provides a storage area for soil and mulch for use in the gardens.

Preparation began with plowing and rototilling the area and then covering it with 6 mil black plastic. By leaving the plastic in place for six months to a year, weeds can be killed without using herbicides.

Compost made from organic materials from the garden projects will be added to the nursery soil.
